Members of the ChatGPT-M project team presented their work as part of the 2026 Festival of Science. Assistant Professor Zrinka Fi\u0161er, PhD, presented a poster entitled \u201cShift the Energy with ChatGPT\u201d as part of the project activities.<\/p>

Burnout in education and the role of AI<\/strong><\/p>

Burnout is a syndrome of psychological strain caused by prolonged emotional engagement. In the educational system, it is influenced by various factors, including individual factors (experience, personality traits), organisational factors (workload, lack of resources), and relationships within the working environment (support from colleagues and management).<\/p>

In this context, artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT can provide significant support for teachers. Their application includes lesson planning, curriculum design, support in working with students, assessment and feedback, as well as the creation of teaching materials, including materials adapted for students with special educational needs.<\/p>

However, successful implementation requires a balanced approach \u2014 alongside the use of technology, it is important to preserve the central role of the teacher. It is also necessary to be aware of the limitations and potential biases of artificial intelligence in order to ensure its responsible and effective use in education.<\/p>

As part of the Festival of Science, an interactive workshop entitled \u201cThe Great Experiment: ChatGPT and the Secret of Energy\u201d was also held. Through play, exploration, the use of ChatGPT, and simple experiments, the workshop aimed to introduce children to the world of energy and its different forms. The workshop was carried out by fourth-year students of the Teacher Education Study Program, Stela Pankovi\u0107, Lucija Bertol, and Matea Milas, under the supervision of Marija Lesandri\u0107, PhD. The students successfully combined science, digital literacy, the use of ChatGPT, and creative learning. In this process, ChatGPT was used to prepare ten rebus puzzles, create instructions for conducting experiments, and formulate conclusions that helped children understand, in a simple way, that energy is all around them.<\/div>

Assistant Professor Anita Kati\u0107, PhD, also presented at the Festival, delivering a lecture and workshop entitled \u201cMathematics in Nature \u2013 The Energy that Shapes the World\u201d, for which she used ChatGPT to prepare the presentation and accompanying materials.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
